As part of Term 3 focus on International Awareness we intend to create some educational links with pupils in Malawi, Africa.

It is a part of the world that I am very familiar with as I opened a school there for some American based Malawi families in 2011. 

There is tremendous talent there but extreme poverty and some families cannot afford school fees. All secondary schools, either State run or Independent charge fees.

Rawabi English Academy intends to raise sufficient money to pay for 3 talented pupils to attend school when otherwise they would not have that opportunity.

It may sound as if a lot of money is needed. In fact we only need $100 for ALL 3 school fees for a year!

To raise this money we will hold a Non-School Uniform Day on Saturday 20th May with each pupil donating 5 nis to come not wearing school uniform.

We will receive photographs of the pupils in Malawi that are selected and we will exchange letters and information sharing lifestyle and school experiences. Pupils in REA will gain a great deal by simply offering 5nis.

Pupils should bring this money, or any additional donation, to school on Thursday 18th or Saturday 20th. Those not wishing to join in simply come in standard school uniform.
